POTS Screen ("the app") helps you record and review POTS-related heart-rate data. This policy explains exactly what the app stores and how it is handled.
WHAT THE APP COLLECTS
Heart-rate readings measured by your watch's sensor.
Step counts / activity measured by your watch.
Heart-rate "alert" events (a heart-rate rise while you are at rest).
Standing-test results, including the heart-rate samples recorded during each test.
Your date of birth, which you enter once during setup.
HOW THE APP USES THIS DATA
To display your charts, history, and trends.
To run the guided standing test and compare your heart-rate rise against commonly used screening thresholds (your date of birth selects the teen or adult threshold).
To notify you when your resting heart rate rises without matching activity.
WHERE YOUR DATA IS STORED
Everything above is stored only on your watch and the paired phone, inside each app's private storage.
Data syncs directly between your watch and your phone over the Wear OS (Google Wearable Data Layer) connection. It is not sent to the developer, and it is not sent to any third party.
The app has no account or login, and includes no analytics, advertising, or tracking software. It makes no other network connections; the only outbound link is an optional educational "Learn more" page you can choose to open.
Automatic cloud backup is disabled, so this data is not copied to Google's backup servers.
YOUR CONTROLS
Retention: choose how long passive tracking data is kept (Storage screen). Standing tests are kept until you delete them.
Delete: clear heart-rate, step, or alert data — or delete data before a chosen date — from the Storage screen.
Export: save a copy of your data (CSV files plus standing tests) to back up or share wherever you choose.
Uninstalling the app removes all of its stored data from that device.
CHILDREN
This app is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children.
MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
POTS Screen is a screening aid, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider about your results.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this policy changes, the updated version will ship with the app.
